Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs
A FIRM FOUNDED ON LEGAL EXCELLENCE
IMW has served the Los Angeles area since 1943 when it was first organized by retired Superior Court Judge, Earl C. Broady, Sr. The firm became Ivie and McNeill in 1980 after Judge Charles R. Scarlett and Judge Robert L. Roberson, Jr. received their judicial appointments. Thereafter, the firm name was changed to Ivie, McNeill & Wyatt in 1991 and became Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs in 2019. IMW is a certified minority business enterprise.
IN TRIBUTE TO
ROBERT H. MCNEILL, JR.
From his admission to the State Bar of California in 1979 until his death in 2016, Robert H. McNeill, Jr. was a fixture of the Los Angeles legal community. Known affectionately as “Bob,” his leadership allowed Ivie McNeill & Wyatt to become California’s largest African-American owned law firm.
We are problem solvers and trial attorneys. IMW enjoys an excellent reputation for aggressively and efficiently litigating matters in state and federal courts. We are versatile. IMW also offers transactional, investigative and counseling services in various practice areas. Clients of Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs enjoy the benefits of our “hands on” approach with each file. Each matter is supervised by a partner with the assistance of an assigned associate, law clerk and/or paralegal. Our attorneys work in multiple practice areas and frequently consult with each other to ensure our clients get the answers they need. Above all, we listen to our clients’ requests carefully and determine the best course of action to reach their desired outcome. The 2019 reception was organized by IMW with more than 100 diverse law students, young lawyers and veteran attorneys in attendance. This is in addition to IMW’s maintenance of its relationships with area law schools, attendance at job fair events, judging and coaching mock trial and moot court teams, mentoring and providing office tours/informational interviews requested by law students and those considering law school.
