EXPERIENCE

Julio C. Navarro focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation, cannabis compliance and litigation and criminal defense. In addition to litigating general liability matters across California, Mr. Navarro represents businesses in challenging the process the City of Los Angeles uses to issue retail cannabis permits which resulted in changes to the cannabis licensing rules. Mr. Navarro has also second-chaired jury trials to verdict.

 

While earning his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles College of Law, Julio was Co-Chair of La Raza Law Students Association, Executive Editor for the Chicano Latino Law Review and a mentor with the UCLA Law Fellows Program. He clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the Los Angeles County City Attorney’s Office and the State of California Department of Justice Civil Rights Enforcement Section.

 

While earning his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley, he participated in the UCLA Law Fellows Program, the UC Davis School of Law Pre-Law Boot Camp Program and the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal Undergraduate Fellows Program.

 

Prior to studying law, Mr. Navarro served in the United States Navy for eight years.
