LA Sentinel recognizes IMW who marks its 80th Year of Exceptional Legal Service

Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs proudly celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, making the firm one of the oldest and largest African-American-owned law firms in the nation. The Los Angeles Sentinel interviewed IMW for the 05/04/23 article, "IMW Marks 80th Year of Exceptional Legal Service."



Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs, which has served the Los Angeles area since 1943, has grown from 1 office to 5 offices, domestically, and 7 offices internationally! In addition, the firm, which is 100% black-owned, has grown to over 30 attorneys, with a staff of approximately 50, representing 13 different ethnicities and 13 different languages.


As for the future, Director Rickey Ivie said, “We would like to see the firm become providers of legal services on an international basis while at the same time maintaining our strong roots and connection with the community." Director Rodney Diggs added, “We’re not going anywhere. We’re getting bigger and we’re growing stronger. We’re going be around for another 80 years to continue doing what we’re doing on behalf of all of our clients.”
